Our Brand Refresh Reflects Positive Change

Our story starts in 2016 when business partners and hoteliers, Jon and Richard, become increasingly frustrated by Property Management Systems. The software available on the market is expensive, clumsy, counter-intuitive and misaligned with the fundamental processes of running their day to day hospitality businesses.

Jon and Richard team up with industry-leading software development expert Ronald. Together, they write down their collective vision for what a hospitality company should aspire to be and what a Property Management System software should offer.

The co-founders’ goal of developing the broadest range of user-friendly hospitality software for the lowest possible price is successfully achieved in 2017. The system is trialled and tested in the director’s own hotels. This proves the ideal environment to ensure the product is fit for the market.

Hop Software is born and officially launched to market in late November.

By 2018 the first customers sign up to Hop and the PMS system 6 months after the launch, The Atholl Arms is the first hotel to go live.

As more and more hotels join Hop, feature requests and contributions from operators assist in improving the system and help create the family atmosphere around the product. The events package is launched and greatly improved with the assistance of The Bingham Riverhouse.

UK presence is expanded by opening a northwest England office in 2019 and doubling headcount to meet the needs of a growing portfolio of UK-based and international customers.

Over 21,000 bookings are now processed each month via the Hop platform. Revenue growth is reported at an impressive 320% year-on-year! The world-class hospitality platform has become an integral part of hoteliers’ daily operations.

International business success leads to discovering opportunities to further expand its network of partners and resellers globally by 2020.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which brings the hospitality industry to a grinding halt, Hop develops HopShop in less than a week and offers it for free to help hotels set up online services.
Click and collect
Hop employs over twenty-five staff at the head office in Cheshire to service its fast-growing customer portfolio. The Sales and Onboarding team are putting a new customer live almost every other day!

A team of experienced digital marketers, creatives and website developers join Hop. Our digital marketing agency, HopDigital, is launched to market.

A series of Contactless Tools, HopContactless, is launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These include the HopApp, which offers a bespoke system to hotel operators for their businesses.

It’s now 2021. Hop continues to evolve and grow by launching a Multi-Property Management System, expanding its business offering even further to service large global multi-chain and hotel groups.

Hop embarks on a company brand refresh to celebrate growth and to position itself as a significant game player within the market.

Today, Hop continues to evolve, improve, expand its products, and services and secure partnerships with leading industry suppliers to drive value and provide customers with access to the best products, services, and software possible.
