Carly brings creativity, fresh ideas and organisation to the HopDigital team. She loves a funny parenting podcast and discovering the latest adventures around North Wales.
What's a typical day for you at Hop?
I spend my days working closely with our hospitality clients, helping them to plan and execute their digital marketing strategies.
This includes producing schedules of content and creative activity, working with our developers on website updates, and ensuring clients' messages reach the right audience at the right time to maximise their online profile and increase revenue.
I'm also regularly in touch with my clients, reporting back on their ongoing activity, progress, wins, and to plan upcoming content.
What did you do before you came to Hop?
I moved over to the UK from the US almost six years ago and previously worked for Cartoon Network, digital agencies, a luxury travel website, Zip World and North Wales Magazine.
What projects are you working on now?
I'm busy managing the Ingliston Hotel and Country Club in Scotland's digital marketing account. This includes providing a full range of digital marketing services, including website management, content marketing, social media and email marketing campaigns to promote their accommodation, food and drink services, equestrian activities and special offers. They're a fantastic team to work with!
What do you love about working in the HopDigital department?
The brainstorming sessions with the team are so enjoyable! And coming up with new ideas for clients' social content to increase their online engagement.
What's your favourite thing about being part of the HopDigital team?
We have a very creative group and constantly bounce ideas off each other. We continuously research and share digital industry news and the latest trends to help us stay ahead of the game and to pitch exciting ideas to our clients.
What is your favourite podcast, book or series?
A romantic novel is great for a bit of escapism or a funny parenting podcast when I need a good laugh!
What's the best hotel you've ever stayed in?
I was a travel writer for a while and visited The Ritz Carlton, in Bahrain, one of the best hotels I've stayed in. I could have got used to the luxurious amenities and the fine dining!
What will we find you doing at the weekend?
Discovering new places to go on adventures in North Wales, where I live, with my three kids.
